We love Slinkys for their warm, powerful, and full-bodied fundamental tone and distinctly Ernie Ball bright, and fizzy top end.  The feel is literally ‘slinky’ which is flexible and springy to play.  The Slinky range is made using smooth nickel-plated steel wire which is wrapped around a steel hex core combined with tin-plated, high carbon steel top strings for the perfectly balanced electric guitar tone. This combination has been, and still is, the sound of Rock!

If you’ve never played 7s before then you may be in for a little bit of a treat. One may be fooled into believing that lighter strings mean thinner tone but uh-uh, nope… they’re sparkly and articulate (as you might expect) but the fatness and fullness of tone is completely unanticipated. There’s a reason that that dude from ZZ Top uses 7s and achieves that massive sound!

Slinky sets are sealed in an airtight, water-tight foil package which is quality tested every hour at their factory - they’re literally dunked in a tank of water!
