Celebration of Song High Vce UE

Nine composers are represented here in one volume in celebration of the art song and its place in the extraordinary surge of musical creativity in Vienna at the beginning of the 20th century and which continued for the next two - three decades.

Songs included are from Gustav Mahler, Richard Strauss, Joseph Marx, Alma Mahler, Franz Schreker, Alexander Zemlinsky, Arnold Schönberg, Alban Berg and Anton Webern.
