Here is an opportunity for intermediate and advanced flautists to experience an entirely different approach to playing the flute. Flute Fusions encourages flautists to break away from traditional approaches by absorbing unusal rhythms from around the world and developing less conventional techniques. Featuring two solo flute parts and a free CD, the pieces can be played with CD backing 'minus one' (without the lead flute part) or 'minus two' (without both flute parts). The CD also includes complete performances of all pieces. The musicians performing on the CD consist of Paul Edmund-Davies (flutes), Neil Percy (percussion) and John Alley (keyboards), all of whom are Principals with leading London orchestras and experienced in diverse music styles - from collaborating with Deep Purple and Sir Paul McCartney to recording film scores for Star Wars and Harry Potter.
