Birthday tribute piece first performed in 2006 at a Glasgow restaurant by a quartet of students from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.

The text is the well-known eulogy "To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people ...", a poem by Bessie Stanley but often erroneously attributed to Ralph Waldo Emerson.
