In principle this edition includes all Mozart's keyboard pieces other than sonatas, variations and juvenilia. The earliest pieces in the collection, the Contredanses K269b and the Praeambula K284a, date from 1777, the year of Mozart's twenty-first birthday, and, coincidentally, of his first mature piano concerto, that in Eb, K271. All the other pieces belong to his Viennese years, 1781-91.
